Andrew began training in 2011 under Edson Carvalho, building a strong base in Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. After moving to Connecticut in 2015, he continued his training under Master Marcio Stambowski while starting his career in law enforcement. He was promoted to black belt in 2022. Andrew focuses on pressure, control, and real-world application-blending Jiu Jitsu principles with functional training for police work. He holds a Level 4 Instructor Certification from Officer Survival Series and teaches a weekly 3 hour class emphasizing concepts, situational drilling, and pressure testing through live training. Dedicated and always on the mat, Andrew leads by example with a passion for both teaching and learning.
