His foundational education was forged directly on the family ranch under the daily tutelage of his legendary grandfather, Grand Master Helio Gracie—the central patriarch and co-founder of modern Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As he transitioned into higher competitive ranks, Kroyler’s technical path aligned with Master Marcio Stambowsky. Stambowsky holds historic prestige within martial arts culture as one of the “Famous Five”—the select few elite warriors to receive their black belts from the iconic innovator Rolls Gracie. Under Marcio’s precise guidance, Kroyler refined his guard mechanics, posture control, and submission setups.
