About
For me, jiujitsu is more than a sport; it is the path that brought me back to life. Starting in my late 30’s, the mats provided a foundation of strength where I didn’t even know I needed. Along this journey, I have found a family of practitioners and a mentor in Marcio Stambowsky who fundamentally changed who I am.
Earning my black belt from Master Marcio, becoming only the second woman in his lineage to do so – is one of the greatest honors of my life. I founded this site to honor that legacy and to document the stories of the people who make this art what it is. I am here to make my master proud and to ensure the history stays alive and jiujitsu is shared in a way that it hasn’t before.
